Resolved - I receive a HTTP Status 401 error when trying to view documents

Resolved - Documents no longer require you to input a password. Drafts and submitted complaint documents are displayed automatically or when the appropriate button is pressed (as long as your web browser does not block the pop-up). Here is a site with methods on how to disable your web browser's pop-up blocking function, or how to add an exclusion http://www.wikihow.com/Disable-Popup-Blockers.

If you receive a "HTTP Status 401 error" page (see figure) when trying to download, view or preview documents it is because an incorrect username and password combination was entered when prompted.

A separate username and password combination is used when trying to access documents in the system. The username will not be your email address.

The correct login information would have been emailed to you when you originally created your Houdini account or anytime you were sent an automated email containing your Houdini account information. If you need access to download or view documents and do not have the username or password information, you can 1) Contact the investigator assigned to the case (does not apply to Right to Sues) 2) Email ITSupport@dfeh.ca.gov or 3) Call (916) 585-7575. Please have your DFEH# (also known as a Matter# or case number) available when calling or emailing Support so that we can best assist you.
